About the Author

Chanda Wilson resides in Athens Ga (home of the Ga Bulldogs). She is married to Robert E. Wilson and together they rear “8” children. Their unique blended family is comprised of “7” boys and “1” little girl. Chanda was born in Asheville N.C. but has spent the last two decades of her life in the surrounding cities of Atlanta Georgia.
Chanda has enjoyed the art of creative writing since age 5 and she credits much of her sanity to the therapeutic release found in her writing. As a little girl, Chanda was an ambitious child model and actress. She adored the spotlight and the ability to express herself creatively. Chanda aspired to become a world renowned psychologist and was determined she would change the world of psychiatric therapy( while wearing 3” heels and a fierce hairstyle).
At age 13, Chanda’s grandiose plans came to a screaming halt, due largely in part to the incestuous abuse brought on by her natural father. From that moment forward life began to take a very different path for Mrs. Wilson, slowly unraveling and spiraling out of control.
Chanda lived this way for many years. She devoured many self discovery and self help books applying the principles in a desperate attempt to regain control of her life. After many attempts and failures, Chanda began to accept that this must be her dreadful destiny. Until one day she met a man, His name was “Jesus” and He changed her life forever. Mrs. Wilson attends and serves at Timothy Baptist Church in Athens Ga, and overseer Jerry F. Hutchins is her spiritual covering. Chanda often states that she “writes” her way through pain, that it has been her solace since the time she was a preteen. Having written hundreds of poetic monologues and short stories, Mrs. Wilson decided that it was time to compile her writings and present them to others who may be struggling through circumstances and situations similar to those that she has experienced.
Mrs. Wilson has a passion for women, a passion, to see them set free from the baggage of the past. Regardless of the painful events that may have led them to the point that they have arrived. Chanda knows from her personal journey – that there is hope and life still awaiting them. Mrs. Wilson has dedicated her life to leading others to the Light that found her (Jesus Christ). Chanda’s ministry is to see the broken hearted healed and made whole!
Through her faith, Chanda expresses a will to live and thrive against any obstacle that may be thrown your way. Chanda relates to the “everyday” woman, empathizing with the challenges each are faced with on a daily basis, yet through her writing- she provokes her readers to “Excellency” and “Perseverance”. Inviting all to trust and abide in the one who can change “EVERYTHING”!
